Loop Editor

With this option, the program becomes an excellent audio editor, allowing free looping while creating new loops.
Editing of the loop is possible separately for the left and right channel whereby very interesting and unique effects can be produced. Not all formats accept this kind of loop editing. e. g. SampleTank and, in general, GigaSampler/GigaStudio don't accept these loops.
Loops can be shown even in sizes above 1:1, making it easy to analyze and locate the best point for starting and ending of the loop, and finding the best phase.
During displacement of the loop, crackling in the sample playback is not heard, a problem which might otherwise be found disturbing. The program changes the beginning and the end loop points to assure the continuity of playback of the sample.
It is possible to set accurate and perfect looping in sample material.
Stereo samples can be tuned together so you can set different loop in the left and right channel and then use X-Fade.

Overview

With the sample Loop Editor you can change, set, or create a loop for any sample
After you have selected a sample in the "Samples" panel, click on the button to enable/disable the loop editor.

1. Play/Stop. Starts/stops audio sample playback.

2. Length Lock. The start and end of loop can be moved together in the edit window. This options doesn't work in the preview window, only in the edit window.

3. Loop. enables/disables the sustain-Loop Editor.

4. Mono Mode. allows left and right channel of stereo (linked two-mono samples L,R) to be looped separately. Please be careful with this option because only SoundFont format fully support this and GigaSampler format only partially Unfortunately, other formats don't allow this.

5. XFade. sets accurate and perfect sample sustain-loops, XFade window

6. Reset. restores the sample sustain-loop to its original value.

7. Export. exports sample to external audio editor.

8. Zoom. changes the horizontal zoom of the "Loop Editor" sub-panel. Zoom-scale ranges between 1:200 to 100:1. When the zoom scale is 6:1 or higher, the waveforms will contain precision grid-points to simplify finding the zero-crossing point of the waveform. Click on the text field to reset the zoom value to 1:1. Vertical zoom for the "Loop Editor" sub-panel is automatic.

9. "Loop Editor" sub-panel. this sub-panel is used to accurately mark the sample playback sustain-loop start- and end-points

10. "Waveform" sub-panel. this sub-panel is used to mark the sample playback start point and also to mark the sample playback sustain-loop start- and end-points. Mouse-drag the to the desired start point. Mouse-drag the to the desired sustain-loop start point. Pressing the key will zoom in to show the precision grid-points to simplify finding the zero-crossing point of the waveform.

11. "Information" panel. Displays information of the edited sample: when a sample-parameter is changed, its color will turn red.

12. View split bar. To use it click on the bar and move up or down to change splitting between upper and lower loop view.

If you have made any changes to the sustain-loop, the sample icon in the "Samples" panel will change to .

Loop Editor - X-Fade

X-Fade is used for making a perfect sounding loops. It mixes audio material before start loop and before end of loop.

To use it click on the XFade edit window and move mouse into left or right to change XFade parameter.

Holding the key down while changing the XFade parameter, will change the XFade parameter in steps of 100 samples.

+ Click on "Xfade" will reset the XFade parameter to 0 samples.

Loop Editor - Undo changes

Click on [Reset] to undo all changes, effectively resetting the loop to its original state to made to the current loop.
