Installation & Setup

Registering & Downloading

After ordering you will receive a registration code.
This code must be used at any time you want to download the full version software and its updates from our site.
www.extranslator.com/register.html

The first time you need to download a setup file and a license key.

Installation

  1. 1. Unpack both files, the setup file and a license key.
  2. 2. Run setup file first exsc_3.1.4_setup.exe
  3. 3. Then manually copy license.dll file into installed directory
    e.g. C:\Program Files\Extreme Sample Converter\

Uninstallation

Choose Start -> Programs -> Extreme Sample Converter 3 -> Uninstall Extreme Sample Converter 3.0.
If you want to remove this software completely, delete registry key which keeps settings: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ExSampleConverter

Updates

You do not need to download a license key again when you update a software version higher than 3.x, unless we inform you about it. Each update has its own installer.

When you update software to a newer version, the installer will find existing versions and simply replace files.

Setup

After first run all options are optimally configured and they are set to default.
Always you can come back to its default values by using Configuration -> Settings -> "Reset to default settings" button.
A few settings may interest you at the start and they are:
  1. Selecting an audio driver and choosing from MME or DirectX mode,
  2. Selecting an audio editor where you will edit samples in detail,
  3. Selecting a midi input and audition synthesizer.
  4. Choosing a language interface from the "File" menu,
All settings are saved only in registry.
No other external files keep these settings. So during moving of the software into new Windows installation you can export these settings from this location.
